Terms of service

Last updated: October 12, 2026 | Effective Date: October 12, 2026

1. Acceptance and Description of Services

By accessing or using the TruthDraft website and web-based tools (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). TruthDraft provides automated linguistic evaluation tools, including an AI writing detector that calculates statistical predictability metrics (perplexity and burstiness) and an AI text humanizer that suggests syntactic sentence revisions. The Services are provided for editorial, educational, and analytical assistance.

2. Intellectual Property and User Ownership

Your Content Remains Entirely Yours: You retain complete, unencumbered intellectual property ownership, copyright, and authorial title to all text, essays, articles, research, or creative materials submitted to the Services, as well as any revised text generated through our revision tools. TruthDraft does not claim, license, or assert any ownership interest in your content.

No Model Training: TruthDraft does not store, index, sell, or use your submitted content to train machine learning models. Submitted text is routed over encrypted TLS to third-party processing providers solely to compute detection metrics or generate requested revisions, as detailed in our privacy policy.

3. Prohibited Uses & Academic Integrity Compliance

Users agree to utilize TruthDraft strictly in compliance with applicable law, academic integrity codes, and institutional honor systems. Specifically:

4. Nature of AI Detection: Estimates and Disclaimers

Detection Outputs Are Probabilistic Estimates: TruthDraft’s detector calculates linguistic indicators based on how predictable text patterns appear relative to common language models. Statistical scores do not constitute empirical or forensic proof of human or synthetic authorship. False positive and false negative results regularly occur, particularly on formal academic drafts, standardized essays, and text written by non-native English speakers.

No Guarantee of Institutional Acceptance: We do not guarantee that text revised by TruthDraft will achieve a zero score on any third-party detection software (such as Turnitin, GPTZero, Copyleaks, or Originality.ai). TruthDraft disclaims all liability for academic disputes, disciplinary hearings, grade deductions, or employment actions resulting from algorithmic score discrepancies.

5. Free Service and Fair Usage Terms

TruthDraft provides its AI writing detector, text humanizer, and educational resources as a free web service. No credit card, payment details, or paid subscriptions are required to access or use our browser tools. To maintain platform availability for all users, TruthDraft applies fair-use limits to prevent automated scraping or denial-of-service abuse.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TruthDraft and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services.

7. Operator, Governing Law, and Support Inquiries

TruthDraft is operated by an independent developer based in India. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. If you have questions regarding these terms or this platform, contact our support team directly at:
