Privacy policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026 | Effective Date: October 12, 2026
1. Text Submitted to Our Detection and Humanizer Tools
When you submit text to our AI writing detector or text humanizer, TruthDraft routes your request over encrypted TLS to third-party processing providers (such as ZeroGPT for detection metrics and Deceptioner for revision suggestions) to return immediate results. TruthDraft itself does not store your drafts in a database, maintain an essay archive, or use submitted text to train machine learning models.
Because requests are processed by external providers under their respective service terms and privacy practices, we advise users never to submit passwords, personal health records, confidential assignments, or proprietary text you do not have permission to share.
2. Information We Collect and Process
- Customer and Support Communications: When you complete our contact form on our contact page or email us directly, we collect your name, email address, inquiry topic, and message content. Inquiries are processed via FormSubmit and retained solely to deliver customer service and resolve technical tickets.
- Browser Local Storage: To preserve your user interface preferences (such as light/dark mode theme toggling and tool session counts), TruthDraft utilizes client-side HTML5 localStorage. This information resides exclusively on your local device and is never synchronized to our servers.
- Operational Telemetry & Site Analytics: We employ Google Analytics (GA4) and Cloudflare Web Analytics to evaluate aggregate site traffic patterns, page load performance, and regional visitor metrics. These analytics collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic metadata such as browser user-agent, operating system, and approximate geographical location without recording user document text.
3. Cloud Infrastructure and Security Safeguards
TruthDraft is hosted globally via Cloudflare Pages edge infrastructure. All web traffic is enforced over HTTPS with modern HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) preloading to protect your sessions against downgrade and man-in-the-middle attacks. Cloudflare edge safeguards help protect against automated denial-of-service abuse. We keep external dependencies transparent and encourage users to review our documentation.
4. User Rights Under GDPR, CCPA, and Global Privacy Frameworks
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Union under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you possess specific legal rights concerning your personal information:
- Right to Know & Access: You may request confirmation of what personal communication data we maintain regarding your inquiries.
- Right to Rectification & Deletion: You may request the correction or permanent deletion of your email correspondence and support history.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their statutory privacy rights. Because we do not sell or monetize personal data, no opt-out of data sale is necessary.
